Rudd neglects mental health
While we read: Charlie McGee, 24, has been charged with 27 offences including four counts of attempted murder, for an alleged crime spree that began at Lalor Park at 2pm. Mr McGee did not appear before Blacktown Local Court today but the magistrate was told Mr McGee was displaying psychotic symptoms.

The first version of this story in the SMH contained comments to the effect that the Police should have called off the chase when it neared schools due to the risk of kids being around.
Sure, two got collected, and that is not nice for them - but it would have been even worse if this maniac got away and continued his spree. Typical of the SMH to blame the cops first.
Yes, SMH never blames the "poor victimised" criminal.
