It was a blur but I've seen the future

Twenty-over cricket is here to stay, and the reason is simple: people enjoy it. Between innings a child said he liked it "because they whack it every time". An adult described it as "comedy cricket". Nothing wrong with that. No need to be snooty. It is only a game. Sometimes it is light-hearted. Mozart and Shakespeare did not scorn farces. Ten thousand punters enjoyed themselves. Cricket must hear their voice.
