"So few lives have been saved on NSW roads in the past five years that the State Government is reviewing its aim of cutting the road toll by 200 deaths a year, a goal it now has little hope of achieving. Paul Gibson - chairman of the Government's road safety watchdog, the Staysafe committee - said the state's road toll remained devastatingly high and much more could be done to save lives."
